Days 103 and 104
Punta Del Diablo, Uruguay
Translated to "Devils Point" the name of this town could not be more wrong. This place is most certainly heaven not hell.
Our last hotel made our reservation here and well....all I can say is "THANK YOU".
Imagine this fantasy:
A luxury resort all to yourself. A beach bar where they mix them up fresh just for you. A gourmet restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner are at your leisure and to your liking. Where the only question is "Would you like that served on the beach, in your room, or on the deck?" Where the orange juice is fresh, the vegetables grilled, and the fish brought right out of the ocean. At your feet is a pristine white sand beach as far as the eye can see. Mellow music is always playing and the Jacuzzi is constantly ready to be filled just for you. To top it off...there are three guys named Pablo who seem to live at your beck and call. And the best part of all....you can afford it. The whole resort is yours, including meals...for $100 per night.
We are living this fantasy....its a place called La Viuda Del Diablo.
A luxury beach resort with only one spectaular room featuring huge slidding glass doors which the breeze always blows through and a view of the ocean. A place where your only distraction is the one puffy white cloud in the sky of blue.
As you might imagine...we spent the day sitting by the beach while Pablo 1 set up the DVD for Bryce and Pablo 2 ran back and forth refilling our stawberry Daquiris. Pablo 3 is busy preping our fondue dinner for tonight which we will eat on the beach deck.
Sorry no photos.....beyond our perfect little haven is only one internet cafe.....and they have never heard of a digital camera.
Not much more to report.
